Hostile Environment Awareness Training (H.E.A.T / H.E.T)

Corporate, Media, NGO and Charities

The Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) course is designed for Close Protection Operatives as well as all kinds of official 'frontline' organisations such as the Media, Listed Charities, Aid Agencies, NGO's, Private Security Companies & Blue chip companies operating in potentially volatile areas around the world and have become aware of their legal liabilities and moral responsibilities for the duty of care of those working for them either as employees, contractors or as volunteers. The course covers a variety of subjects during the course. We understand the complexities of developing the most appropriate and effective training packages for specific roles and organisations. Whilst we work with a core syllabus we work with clients to ensure that their training is fit for purpose.  Moreover, we monitor developing events, situations and TTP's in order that we can make appropriate adjustments to training packages.

We have split our packages down in order that you can gauge the most appropriate package for your organisation.
We understand the importance of ensuring that training is fit for your organisation.  All of our training is bespoke and tailored to your needs.

All our courses can be bolstered with the addition of our CBRN HEAT packages for really challenging environments.

This will ensure the candidate is well-versed with the potential dangers and hazards they may face in a hostile arena.

Course Content:

  • Anti-Hijacking techniques.
  • Anti-Hostage.
  • Kidnap training.
  • Counter Surveillance.
  • Pre deployment planning and travel awareness.
  • Terrorism.
  • Contact Drills (vehicle and Foot).
  • IED Awareness.
  • Personal protective defence.

The course duration and location (UK) can also be tailored for private courses to suit your needs.

HEAT course tutors are all highly experienced in operating and surviving in extremely hostile environments. They possess years of combined experience in live, high-threat environments which brings real life experiences to the training course. If you wish us to contact you to discuss your needs and design and run a specific training course for you, please do not hesitate to contact us. All information is treated in the strictest of confidence and we are registered with the Information Commission as a Data Protection Act compliant and we demonstrate quality assurance. This course uses 'Dry Firing' Weapons (NO live rounds are used during the duration of the training) allowing the delegate a true real life scenario based experience. This condensed course generates maximum practical participation by students and concentrates on skills such as:

  • Use of Firearms.
  • First Aid.
  • Evasive & Defensive Driving Techniques.
  • Surviving Hijacking.
  • Ambush Drills.

The course is ideally suited for those with little or no background of working in hostile environments and offer them a professional taster of such an environment which in turn allows them to make an informed choice as to whether or not this line of work suits them. It is also designed as a refresher course for those operatives returning back to work after a long period of rest. Sufficient time is incorporated within the course for students to absorb the information and the instructors to deliver content in a relaxed manner. The pace of the course is such that the students should be prepared for maximum information input with little rest.
